Located at the center of the Macao Peninsula west of Mountian Big Barbette, it is the ruins of St. Paul Church. In 1835, St. Paul Church was burned down and only its fore wall survived. As its shape is similar to traditional Chinese memorial archway, it is named “Dasanba Memorial Archway”. Made of granite, it consists of overlapped pole patterns of five layers up and down and 10 lines left and right, adorned by delicate relievos following the baroque architectural style in ancient Greece. |
