Urumqi Martyr Cemetery

Urumqi Martyr Cemetery is located in the mountain ridge of Nest of Swallow. With an area about 700 mu, it was built early in 1956, rebuilt in 1975.

Engraved Dong Bi Wu's inscription “Urumqi Martyr Cemetery” in the folding screen in the gate. Emplaced Cheng Tan Qiu, Mao Min, Lin Jilu, Qiao Guozhen, Wu Maolin, etc five matyrs's cemetery and other revolution martyrs's ashes in cemetery. Whole cemetery's atmosphere is solemn and respectful, the circumstance is very quiet and tastefully laid out. Now this place is the municipality important cultural relics protection unit. Around the Tomb-sweeping Day every year, thousands of and ten thousands of people come to here to sweep the graves, visit and ponder on the past and tour hill and view scenery one after another.
