The Museum of the CPC Guangdong District Committee was built in commemoration of the former CPC Guangdong District Committee, which operates from here during the Great Revolution. The site contains a three-storey brick and wood building sitting in a south to north direction, with a gross floor area of about 700 square meters.
The museum was built in 1960 and opened to the public in 1961. The third floor contain the restored offices of the former secretary of the CPC Guangdong District Committee, the peasants committee and the publicity department. PRC's first premier, Zhou Enlai, was the chairman of the CPC Guangdong District Committee. The second floor contains the office of the former Guangdong District Committee of the Communist Youth League.
The museum is a provincial-level protected cultural heritage site.
