Climate

Zhangjiajie is located in the middle latitude in the north hemisphere, and falls into the category of subtropical humid monsoon climate. It has enough sunshine, rich rainfall, long frost-free period, short cold period and disdinct four seasons. Over the past years the annual average sunshine hours, temperature, the amount of rainfall is 1,440 hours, 16℃ (60.8℉) and 1,400 mm respectively, and the average frost-free period is about 216 to 269 days a year.
