Located in Longshan County, Ruins of the Liye Antique City, once a military fortress of the Chu Kingdom in the Warring States Period, is built adjacent to the Youshui River and covers an area of 10,000 square meters. The complete system of the old city is composed of city walls made by rammed earth, a city moat, houses and buildings, drainages and several old wells that distribute in and out of the city in order. From one of the three dried wells were discovered 30,000-odd pieces of bamboo slips of the Qin Dynasty, on some of which are written nine Chinese seal characters like “米、俊、蔡、德”. They are of great significance for the studies of Qin Dynasty history.
