Yan Temple is the temple of Yan Hui, also called Fusheng Temple, was built to memorize Yan Hui, one of Confucius' disciples. People started to build temples on the former residence of Yan Hui from the period under the reign of Liu Bang in the Western Han Dynasty. Later, with renovations and expansions time and again during the Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasty, it has reached an area as large as five courtyards. The whole temple looks stately and splendid with red walls around and towering cypresses. The main scenic sites are: the Archway of Fusheng Temple; Slum Well; and Fusheng Palace.
