Located in the northwest of Hubei Province, on the middle reaches of the Han River, Xiangfan City covers an area of about 20,000 square kms, with a population of 5.8 million.
Xiangfan is a combined name for Xiangyang and Fancheng. With mild climate and four distinct seasons, it is the only large city in the adjoining area of Hubei, He'nan, Sichuan and Shaanxi provinces.
