The Woyun Temple was first built in the Ming Dynasty and reconstructed in the Qing Dynasty. In the nunnery, there is a Mercy Goddess hall and a Jade Buddha hall. In the Jade Buddha hall, there is a 1.2-meter-high jade Buddha that was presented by the Barman Buddhists. By the nunnery, there is a spring named Jingluo spring, which once served as many as a thousand people but dried up. Once, it was said that the spring was full of water again after a monk read the Buddhist doctrine to it. At the back of Woyun Temple, it is said lies a bottomless abysm with plenty of clouds. When the clouds surrounded the building, the temple seems to be floating on the clouds, hence the name Woyun Temple. |
