Old City

Ancient City Wall of Jiazhou was firstly built during the period of North Song Dynasty. The existing building was constructed in Ming and Qing Dynasties. The City Wall leans upon the mountain and faces the river, and is placed and constructed with red sand and ston. The wall can be divided into internal and external layers. Going through swift changes, the existing city wall is totally about 4,000 meters, including Yuzheng Gate, Huijiang Gate, Wangjiang Gate, Yuxian Gate, Gongchen Gate, Renchi Gate, Pingjiang Gate, Chengxuan Bridge Gate, Xingfa Street Gate and Dragon Shrine, Osmanthus Building, Spring Snow Gore, Toad Pass and so on.
