The Wuyou Temple is situated on the top of Mountain Wuyou. It was first built in the Tang Dynasty, and was formerly called the Zhengjue Temple. In the Song Dynasty it was renamed as Wuyou Temple. The temple that remains at the present time is the building which was constructed after the Qing Dynasty. It is one of the more complete temples that is preserved in Sichuan province and one of the most major temples throughout the country. Moreover, around the temple there are bamboo and trees. Buildings and pavilions are strewn at random, which looks notably clear and quiet.
