Zhuyi Cave

The Zhuyi Cave is found under the rear cliff of Jifeng Peak, and it is 4m high, 6.5m wide and 7m long. According to the historical records:“Zhuyi Cave is right on the night side of Mountain Lingyun, and can hold 10 persons sitting.” It is said that An You, a person from Jiazhou in the Ming Dynasty, commented on the Book of Changes in this cave. Afterwards, the magistrate Yuan Zirang engraved articles and pictures of the Book of Changes on five steles and stood the steles in the cave, which remain to this day. A Taiji diagram or Taijitu is etched on the cave, there are over ten steles, such as Pixel Philosophy of Book of Changes, the Eight Diagrams and Yinyang, the Eight Diagrams, the Instinctive and Postnatal Eight Diagrams, Yinyang Balance Diagram, Diagram of Distance, etc. The stele designs are elegant in sculpture and fluent in line, and the accomplishments of calligraphy have reached the level of ancient people and are in the style of two Wangs (Wang Xizi and Wang Xianzi) from the Wei and Jin Dynasties. Zhuyi Cave is a deep connotation of the culture of the Book of Changes and has great tour and research value.
