Tangyue Memorial Archways

Situated in Tangyue Village of Shexian County, the seven memorial archways built in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, namely, Bao Can's Archway, Kindness and Piety Archway, Archway to Bao Wenfang's Wife, Samaritans Archway, Bao Wenyuan's Archway, Bao Fengchang's Archway, and Bao Jiaxian's Archway, line along the entrance road to the village, all honoring the figures with the virtues of loyalty, piety, chastity, and justice.

The sculpture of these archways is elegant, primitive and simple. Despite of their different architectural characteristics, the archways all show the Hui Style Carvings.
