JiuShan Cave

JiuShan Cave Scenic Area is located in the south of FengYang County, 30km, lied in the west of Mountain FengYang scenic spot.

JiuShan Cave is a lime stone corrosion cave. Because of many chives growing on the hill, the cave gave the name JiuShan Cave. The cave formed about in the Cambrian, the geology history is five or six hundred million years. According to preliminary textual criticism. Jiushan Cave is 1,472m long, and has six parts: Tiger and Dragon illegally occupying, Picking the star and moon, Sweeping up five famous mountains, Deep and quiet gorge, Clear Stream and Shadow, going boating on the jade green stream. There are thirty spots in it, ancient preach, drill ground, lotus platform, three likeness of fairy maiden, diving platform , etc. The whole cave's topography is complicated, many stone looks like tiger, bell and so on. The specialists consider unanimously that the cave is original in characteristic it is different from the corrosion cave of the Yangtze River and the limestone of Sichuan Province. Its characteristics are deed, big, dangerous, marvelous and ancient. The style is simple, unsophisticated and ground. The cave is exceptional growth well corrosion cave of the Yangtze River. The specialist called it “the first cave in the south of the Yangtze River”.
