The Drum Tower

The Drum Tower is located in the center of FengYang County, built in 1375. It distances from the west belfry six miles.

The Drum Tower is composed of two parts: the building and the building base, and the building base is the biggest bases in China, the length is 72 meters, width is 34.25 meters, 15.8 meters highly.

The Drum Tower is the place announcing the time to entire city. The tower layout has a style of its own. The Drum Tower establishes 600 years going through the mill for many years, repeatedly devastated built. It was protected an unit as Cultural heritage by Anhui Province in 1986.

The Drum Tower has already been built according to old system to return its grand scene in 1998. Have arranged the exhibition hall to show Zhu Yuanzhang and FengYang outstanding to be member of important position occupied in Ming Dynasty history.
