Bamboo Sea

The scenic spot consists of vast bamboo groves between Lu Lake and Ganxi, lying in the mountainous area south of Guangde. It is 10 kilometers from the county. The size of Lu lake water surface reaches 3,000 Chinese acres with green hills all around and the lake water is clear like mirror. Water winds in the mountain range, peaks being observed in the mirror. In spring and summer, wild flowers on the lake bank are brilliant and fragrant; in fall and winter, pine and bamboos on the hills are green and energetic. The best time for traveling is in May when azaleas are in full bloom, looking like colorful clouds covering the land. The sea of bamboos covers the top of peaks. Deep valley, thick bamboo forest together with running streams, how grand the view is! Rowing a boat in the lake, or fishing on the lakeside, or birdviewing on the top of the mountain or just wandering in the bamboo forest, no matter what you are doing, you can enjoy the beauty of nature.
