Jianyang Huangkeng Snake Farm

Jianyang Huangkeng Snake Farm is located in Tangtou Village, Huangkeng Town, Jianyang City, covering an area of 3,000 square meters. It is consisted of Snake-biting Injury Prevention and Cure Institute, Snake Product Development Company, Snake School and Home of Bamboo Tourist Attraction. In 1980, a snake farm with simulated ecology was established for scientists to conduct scientific experiments of artificial propagation of five-pace vipers (Agkistrodonacutus). More than 3,000 five-pace vipers are growing there. Each year 3 kilograms of snake poison are extracted and sold to the overseas countries. The establishment of Huangkeng Snake Farm plays an important role to the virtuous cycle of the nature and the prevention and cure of snake-biting injuries.
