Boasting a history of over 130 years of cultivation, Fuding Dabaicha belongs to the clone-bred and is also known as Baimao Tea or Fuding Pekoe. It is of an early sprouting kind, with its spring tea sprouting generally in the first and the middle ten days of March. In early April, one sprout with two or three leaves grow with proper density. Sprouting five or six times in a year, it has strong soft texture, extraordinarily large number of pekoes, high percentage of effective bud scales, and it generally stops growing in the first ten days of November. Currently, more and more Famous and Good Quality teas are produced with the raw material of Fuding Dabaicha, such as the tea treasures of Silver Tip Pekoe, Silver Hook, Baimaohou, Baimudan, Xueya, Bailin Kongfu etc. |
