In 1987, in order to celebrate the 1,000 anniversary of Mazu's immortality, 12 dishes are listed as “Mazu Feast Dishes” on September 8 (lunar calendar, the date when Mazu achieved immortality). In September 1990, Mazu Feast Dishes participated in the exhibition held on World Tourism Day. In 1991, Mazu Feast Dishes made a great hit on the “Mazu Pilgrimage Tourism Seminar” organized by the National Tourism Administration. Having been awarded the national patent, they enjoy good popularity among Mazu believers and tourists across the straits. In August 1993, the dishes were granted the Edison Invention Gold Prize of Chinese Scientific and Technological Achievements. In 1996, the dishes were listed in “Collection of Excellent Patented Technologies of China”. |
