Yuetuo Island is a sandy island in the Bohai Sea Gulf southwest of Laoting County Seat covering 0.43 square kilometers. Its name comes from its shape of a crooked moon.
This islsnd is 4.8 kilometers long from the seashore across the sea. On this island grow thick bush, fresh flowers and wild fruits, all radiating fragrance. The natural environment here has been almost closed to the public, leaving it undisturbed and untouched. More than 10 thousand birds perch and breed here. There are hundreds of varietiesof birds. Seagulls, vultures, white storks and black storks fly in the clear sky; ducks swim leisurely on the water. Four lines of verse depict its beautiful scenery.
