The Karst Caverns, facing the Baotianman Peak, is constituted by fine marbles. Owing to natural weathering on the surface, there have arisen many stalactite grottos in the area. Coming into the round grotto entrance, there is plenty of space inside. It is going to be a lot of fun winding one's way out. In the entire year it remains humid in the grottos and the natural weathering has formed many stalactite columns of different shapes. Coming into the maze of these shiny stones, one may feel like he is in a crystal palace. With a length of nearly 1km, it leads to the mountain peak. Currently there is a main cave stretching over 500m and several side caves with depths ranging from 5m to 20m. Three channels into the main cave, there is an oval sky well which is over 30m in diameter and over 10m in height. The bottom, wall and roof are all made of stalactite. After the sky well the road forks out into two parts, leading to two big channels where all kinds of stalactites are well preserved. Just beside the main cave stands a side cave of around 12m high, which leads down to other channels. These caves, combined with other small ones, have formed a cluster of stalactite caverns. |
