Burial Jade

The burial jade articles are jade objects specially prepared in ancient times for the purpose of preserving corpses. What is known as “With gold and jade in the nine apertures in the body , the dead will never be decayed”. According to these funeral jades unearthed from the tombs of Guo State, the different burial jades were used on basis of status, rank and social position of the dead in Western Zhou Dynasty.
