Zhugou Revolutionary Memorial lies to the west of Queshan County 32 km for away.
In 1939, it was the site of the headquarters of the Central Plains Bureau of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party Liu Shaoqi once commanded the anti-Japanese battle here. Many revolutionaries such as Li Xiannian, Peng Xuefeng, Zhangzhen, Wang Guohua and the noted historian Fan Wenlan, economist Fei Jihua all worked in this area. It was called “Little Yan'an”“Little Shanbei”.
The memorial has 30 rooms and 31 cultural relics. The admiring Premier Zhou Enlai inscripted “Zhugou Revolutionary Memorial”. North to the memorial is Revolutionary Cemetery. |
