The Lotus World

The Lotus World is presently the biggest show with the richest lily variety, and the most advanced cultivating technologies in the world. It occupies an area of more than 1,200 Mu (about 80,000 square meters), two thirds of which are water. The park is divided into nine function areas—the Culture Plaza, the center area, the viewing area, the entertainment area, the King Lotus Area, the Pond Lily Area, the Research and Development Area and the Seed Area. In the park, there are approximately 300 varieties of lily, including rare breeds such as the Space Lotus and the Ancient Lotus. The Grand Lotus Show is an ecological base of research and production. However it is a place of entertainment with many rich and colorful amusement activities. The various Lotus of the park are not only a pleasure to look at but also tempt the tastebuds. Since its opening in July, 2000, the Grand Lotus Show has received more than 1,000,000 tourists. A visit to the Lotus World is a must not only for lotus enthusiasts but also for any nature lover.
