Liping Dong Village Scenic Area

Located at the edge of southeast Guizhou, China, Liping Dong Village Scenic Area has the most concentrated Dong population and is reputed as “the first largest county of the Dong nationality in China”.

With beautiful mountains and pleasant climate, it has the zigzag and beautiful Bazhou River, misty Mawei Beach Waterfall, Mountain Longxiang covered by virgin forest, fantastic Pilin Cave Group, majestic and verdant Bamboo Sea on Mountain Peace and so on. The Dong folk-customs are simple and unique, and many historical sites exist there. Moreover, there are four bests in Genis World Records, namely majestic Tiansheng Bridge, firs as old as 3,000-odd years, ancestor of drum-tower——Shudong Drum Tower with only one Pole, and Zhaoxing Drum Tower Group in the biggest Dong village.
