Weining Grass Sea

Weining Grass Sea is located 155 kilometers northwest from Guiyang. The area has an elevation of 2,200 meters near Weining County.

The area is full of perching long-tailed pheasant, white paunch chicken, egret, goose and wild duck and some other 100 types of precious waterfowls on top of birds and beasts. It is also the perching place of the red-crowned crane, the black neck crane and the white stork.

Presently, it is the only place where the black neck crane plateau perches in winter every year. The autumn grass sea blossoming in the lake is a beautiful sight; the yellow, red and white petals of the flowers float along with the flow of the water in the lake and the sight is enchanting like a fairyland.
