The sculpture is located in Mudanjiang bank Park. This group sculpture was completed in 1988 with the height is 13 meters and the length 8.8 meters with the granite material. The four large brush-written Chinese characters before death is written by national Political Consultative Conference President Deng Yingchao. When standing in front of this gigantic group sculpture, every person will think tumbling. At that time, the eight female were unafraid of death, and the heroic fight scene seems to be presenting in people's front. In late October, 1938, northeast west anti-Japan army four, five armed forces drafted the woman to roll under, led by Instructor Leng Yun, was undertaking the shield unit shift task, they heroically resisted the attack from Japanese forces——Xiongben Army. It was in the situation without ammunition and food. They would rather die than surrender. They finally resolutely carried the ally, which was wounded, jumped into the fierce and brutal ice-cold piercing Wusihun River in boundaries of Linkou County. They gave their lives for one's country and composed a startled, indescribably tragic poem against Japan. The movies “the China's youth”, “Eight heroines jumped into the River” are all made according to their movement. In October 1982 the monument of the eight female heroines was built up in Linkou County. “Eight female heroic deeds will illuminate centuries” eight large brush-written Chinese characters were carved on it. It shouldered mountains and river water. Its inscription has recorded Leng Yun, Yang Guizhen, An Fushun, Hu Xiuzhi, Guo Guiqin, Huang Guiqing, Wang Huimin and Li Fengshan eight woman's head coverings heroic achievements. In 1984, it was listed as the two-level cultural relic preservation organ by the country. The Mudanjiang bank park eight female group sculptures have also been authorized for the provincial level patriotic education base. |
