Qiqihar Crane Watching Festival

Qiqihar Crane Watching Festival was set up on the basis of 300th anniversary of the City celebration that the first festival began in 1992, and it is held once a year. It is a large international cultural festival celebration of trade and tourism that integrates investment introducing, economy and trade negotiation, products exhibition fair, cultural activities, tourism & sightseeing. August 12 of each year, the prologue to the Crane Watching Festival begin with a large literature & art performance, which show spiritual style and features of the City with strong local features. The participation of the famous literature and art organizations and artists from domestic or foreign countries also adds to the prestige. During the festival, negotiations of introducing investment are very active that huge crowds of people are in heavy traffic for busy purchase and sale so that the result of the festival is satisfactory. Furthermore, those red-crowned cranes fluttering with elegant fairy postures make visitors indulge in pleasure. Since 2001, the Crane Watching Festival and Green Food Expo of Qiqihar, China have been held during the same period to promote the festival to a new level and obtain more social and economical benefits.
