Qingjiang River Corridor

The Qingjiang River was called Yi (Smooth and safe) Water in ancient time. It originates in Xiaojia Pond and joins the Yangtze River in Zhicheng City extending 423 km long. It is called the mother river of the Tujia ethnic group, the origin of the ancient Ba nationality. The mountains here are lofty and rugged. The water looks green, the rocks appear fantastic and the woods are luxuriant. The climate is pleasant. It is cool in summer and warm in winter.
