Emperor Yan's Mausoleum lies on Mountain Yanling in Luyuan Town, which is 15 kilometers away to the southwest of Yanling County. In the fifth year to Song Dynasty governed by SongQiande (967 A.D.), Yandi Temple was built, from then on, each dynasty continued to renovate and sacrifice the Emperor Yan's Mausoleum. The area where Yandiling Mausoleum perches, reputed as “Emperor Mountain” ever since ancient time due to its continuous mountains with verdant old trees veiled by fog, is holy land for Chinese offspring to recall our ancestors. |
