People in Mountain Hengshan have the custom of burning joss-sticks and worship to Gods and Buddha on the first day of a new year measured by the Chinese lunar calendar. There is a legend that the one who robs the head of the joss-stick of the new year will be blessed by Gods and he will has a smooth life. So “robbing the head of the joss-stick” is also called lucky joss-stick, which is a traditional custom in spring festival of Mountain Hengshan.
