The Ancient Town

The Ancient Town of Southern Mountain is an ancient marketing town which is developed from the incense market, its back is against the Southern Mountain Grand Temple, and its front side is next to No.107 National Highway, primarily it is always an incense market. During the incense burning period in August of every year, the old town seethes with excitement, such scene as the stalls set up the booths and the spots for selling, and the peddles hawks with their baskets in hands can be found everywhere.

There are several ancient buildings in the town; they are also the main scenic spots of the scenic area. Namely: Southern Mountain Grand Temple, Zhusheng Temple, Yellow Court Temple. They are all initially built in Tang Dynasty. The ancient town is developing to the modernized direction under the reform and opening up policy.
