The Eight Immortals' Table Conservation Zone is located north of Xiaogang Township, Jixian County, 1.2 kilometers northeast of Taipinggou, and 55 kilometers from the county seat.
It includes Mountain Eight Immortals' Table, Heishui River, Limu Platform, Foreign Tower, Taiping Gully, and Changzhou Village, with the broad-leaved forests rarely seen in North China as its main ecological system. The area of forests is 4,161 square kilometers and forest coverage reaches 80%. The name of Eight Immortals' Table derives from a legend. It is said that when eight immortals crossed the sea, they once had a drink and a rest on a large square rock at the mountain ridge, which has remained intact to date. |
