Emperor Jade Pavilion is seated at Jade Emperor Pavilion Avenue, Nankai District. Built in 1427, the second year of Emperor Xuanzong's reign in the Ming Dynasty, it is the largest Taoist temple in the urban area of Tianjin City.
The original building includes the memorial archway, temple gate, bell and drum towers, side halls, six-angle pavilion, main hall and Qingxu Pavilion. With and area of 234.86 square meters, the main architecture Qingxu Pavilion is the earliest lofty ancient wood-structure pavilion existing in the urban area. There is a bronze statue of Emperor Jade at the upper of the pavilion and a cloister by which you can overlook the beautiful scenery in the distance. |
