Dragon Boat Race

The dragon boat race is a traditional sport that is still quite popular. Nanning holds a dragon boat race on May 5th, according to the lunar calendar every year. In 1997, a boat race held by Nanning Municipality and Lutan township won a title of “The Best Location for Dragon Boat Race” because of its large scale and efficient organization. The award was issued by the All-China Sports Federation and the Dragon Boat Association of China.
