The park is well positioned and easily accessible. Now it occupies an area of 11 hectares including 1.3 hectares water area. It is named after the district at where it is located. Its features are “Flower” and “Chong (slope)”. Based on the natural terrain, its layout concentrates on plant scenic spots, especially gives priority to flowers in all-year-round blossom. | Hefei Science & Technology Museum [edit this] | | Hefei Science & Technology Museum is located at the crossroads between Mountain Huangshan and Hezuohua Roads, covering an area of 16,710m2. The house is regarded as a modern comprehensive building for the popularization of science and technology. “Yang Zhenglin Exhibition Hall” is set up inside, which is stored with more than 140 pieces (sets) of exhibits. The special exhibits include: a full-vision cinema, a celestial phenomena house, an earthquake-simulation house, rolling balls, etc.

| Hefei Botanic Garden [edit this] | | Located in Mountain Shushan Scenic Area of the city, Hefei Botanic Garden is a peninsular-shaped area surrounded by Shushan Lake on the north and west.
To the east, the garden is connected with East Huanhu Road and to the south it neighbors Hefei New and High-Tech Industrial Development Zone. With an area of 1,058 mu (roughly about 70.5 hectares), it functions as the natural oxygen bar and the green lung of the city. According to its planning principle, this place will be a comprehensive botanic garden with garden-like appearance and knowledge dissemination function featuring in scientific resources, environmental protection and tourist attraction.
Currently there are more than 1,000 plant species here, of which the second and third grade national protected tree species account for 20. The most precious ones are liriodendron chinensis,Saucer Magnolia,eucommia, p.aureosulcata spectabilis and some rare plum, osmanthus and lotus species. Several scenic spots, such as Waterfront Garden, Plants Exhibition Area, Plum Garden, Bamboo Garden, Osmanthus Garden, Autumn View Garden, and a Lakefront Green Corridor called Ludicangzhou, have preliminarily taken shape and opened to public since May 1, 2002.

| Belt Park of the City [edit this] | | At 8.7km long, Belt Park of the City covers an area of 137.6 hectares. It embraces the old town while merging into the new urban developments. The green trees and blue water look like a green ribbon, and thus entitled as “a necklace of jadeite”.
