| Fuzhou National Forest Park [edit this] | | Located in Xindian Town, Jin'an District, Fuzhou City, the AAAA Fuzhou National Forest Park is seven kilometers from the city center, and covers an area of 2,891 hectares.
The park is home to over 3,000 species of rare plants, and several special botanical gardens have been set up, such as the Bamboo Appreciation, Tree Appreciation, Rare Plants, Cycad Garden, Banyan Garden, Peach Blossom Garden, Shady Plants Garden and etc. The Dragon Pond Scenic Zone, with a theme of forest ecotourism, is very appealing, while Fujian Forestry Museum can offer you forestry know-how and forestry achievements of Fujian. The Park is also equipped with abundant recreational facilities.

| Mountain Qingyun Scenic Zone [edit this] | | Located in Linglu Town and Chixi Town of Yongtai County, Fuzhou City, Mountain Qingyun Scenic Zone, this national AAAA scenic zone and national key scenic resort is about 13 kilometers from Yongtai County and 75 kilometers from Fuzhou City. Reportedly, in the Song Dynasty, Xiao Guoliang studied hard at the mountain and then came first in the highest imperial examination, and hence the name.
This scenic zone covers a planned area of 52.5 square kilometers and is distributed with 7 1000-kilometer tall peaks and 9 canyons & rivers. It consists of 6 scenic spots: Sky Corridor, Dragon Waterfall, White-horse Canyon, Water Screen Palace, Tree-fern Garden and Sky Pond Grassland.
Mountain Qingyun is located in the tropical zone of Central Asia. Featuring a warm climate and diversified forest plants, the mountain grows 183 families, 667 genus and 1,295 species, including thousands of plant species under first-class state protection (such as yew), 18 species of plants under second-class state protection (such as tree-fern), 36 species of arethusa plants and 233 species of vines. There are 216 species of spinal animals out of 61 families, including over 200 macaques (4 groups) under second-class state protection. The relic of Xiao Guoliang, the Number One Scholar of the Southern Song Dynasty, is also well protected.
It integrates steep peaks and mountains, sinuous streams, spectacular waterfalls, the fantastic temples and the verdant trees. The tourists can comprehend the poetic grace of “Two Mountains stand oppositely on both banks, and billows roar from low valleys. Fishes swim at the boom of the waters that are as clear as mirror, and birds sing in the blue welkin.” The scenic area is depicted as “it has been hidden in boudoir for such a long time that nobody knows it, while unveiling it, its beauty shocks all the people in Fujian Province.”

| Pingtan Haitan National Scenic Zone [edit this] | | Located in Pingtan County, Fujian Province, Pingtan Haitan National Scenic Zone is the closest resort to Taiwan Island, and is a natural scenic zone featured by sandy beaches and marine abrasion landform constituted by granite rocks. The scenic zone covers a total area of 71 square kilometers, including a total land area of 49 square kilometers, and boasts the best sandy beaches and the best marine abrasion landform in China.
The scenic zone owns four bays and 28 top-class sandy beaches, covering a total length of 30 kilometers and a total area of approximate 6,670 square kilometers. It consists of six major attractions, namely Banyangshifan, Haitan Gos, East Sea Fairyland, Nanzaishijing, Mountain Junshan, Mountain General, and the two seashore holiday areas of Tannan Bay and Shanqi'ao. Haitan scenic area is well-known for its wonderful seashore and sand beach and peculiar physiognomy washed and eroded by sea water. Those unique rocks are so close together that they form an amazing rock forest.
The scenic zone offers yachts to the Rock Sail, ferryboats to the Haitan God, Circle Island yachts, offshore powerboats, aerotow gliding aircrafts and other maritime recreational facilities. Since 2003, the annually held International Sand Sculpture Festival, Haitan Narcissus Festival and Fishermen Flavor Snacks Festival have attracted extensive visitors.

| Tanshishan Museum [edit this] | | Tanshishan Museum, located in Tanshi Village, Ganzhe Town, Minhou County, is a major cultural relic under station protection and a provincial-level base for education in patriotism, and is about 21 kilometers from Fuzhou City.
The landform of Mountain Tanshi is featured by riverbank hills and ridges at the foot of low mountains. Mountain Tanshi relic was found in 1954 and has been undergone nine scientific excavations. Archaeologists unearthed more than 80 tombs ranging from the neolithic age to the Shang and Zhou Dynasties.
Mountain Tanshi Culture originates from the patrilineal clan age of primitive society, which is about 5,000 years ago. It is an ancient culture fully comparable to Yangshao Culture of He'nan Province and Hemudu Culture of Zhejiang Province.
