The Weizhou Island is 36 nautical miles away from Beihai City proper with a total area of 24.7 square kilometers.

The Weizhou Island is the biggest volcanic island in China. With dense vegetation, beautiful landscape and simple and honest people, it is particularly rich in lava eroded caverns and varieties of sea animals. It's where people are longing for. the isand is the migarating place, many varieties of migratory birds and stay birds perch on it. This offers a thrilling view. Two arches of East and West exist in the south of the island just like crabs lying in the water.

With an area of 1.9 kilometers, the Xieyang Island is 4.5 kilometers from the Weizhou Island. It is where the spetacular view of the sun slantingly setting can be seen, hence the name Xieyang Island. And it also enjoys the reputation as “the big and small Penglai Island”.

More than 40 scenic spots of the two islands such as volcanic eruption, volcanic mouth, marine living things are mainly distributed along the coast. Eroded landforms are strange and lifelike and some sea scenery are rarely seen. The Xieyang Island is a steep cliff with the dangerous posture. A Gothic church built during France Renaissance period stands on it. Baa summit is the highest peak of Beihai. In the west of the summit, there is a Baa Cavity no access to it except by rope suspension from the mountain peak, it's exciting and thrilling adventure.
