Located at the foot of Yao Mountain in the eastern suburb of Guilin, 10km far away. The Jingjiang Mausoleum is a mausoleum for a royal family-the Jingjiang family in Ming Dynasty. In 1368, Zhu Yuanzhang established Ming Dynasty, he sent his 24 sons and one his brother's grandson to allover the country to govern those important military forts. In 1370, Zhu Yuanzhang made Zhu Shouqian, a grandson of his brother, the king of Jingjiang. The Jingjiang King lasted 280 years total. Moreover, there are more than 300 tombs from other seigniors's families here to makeup the biggest ancient tomb group in South China covering 100 square kilometers.
The layout of the Jingjiang Mausoleum is rectangle, it is arranged with Mausoleum gate, Mid-gate, Xiang Hall and Palace along the middle-axes. Two walls are built around each Mausoleum which generally consists of two parts:external part and internal part. There are wing-room, Mausoleum gate, tomb passage, jade ribbon bridge and stone person, stone animals in exernal part and the Mid-gate, Xiang Hall and Palace etc in internal part.
