Located in the east of Yun-Gui Plateau, Guiyang City is capital of Guizhou Province. In ancient times, Guiyang teemed with bamboo, hence its short name “Zhu”.
Guiyang integrates green mountains, clear waters, secluded forests, peculiar grottoes and old temples, which set off each other and form plateau scenes of grandness, fantasticalness and gracefulness. There are so many cultural and historical heritages here, such as Xifeng Concentration Camp, Wenchang Pavilion, Jiaxiu Loft, Hongfu Temple, and Yangming Ancient Temple. In addition, Guiyang is an ideal summer resort, as its winter is quite mild and its summer is not too hot. So, there is a saying like this :“While there is paradise in the sky and Suzhou and Hangzhou on earth, the place which has the most pleasant climate is Guiyang”.
