Located 15 kilometers southeast of Jiyuan City, covering an area of 128 square kilometers, Wulongkou Scenic Area, which includes 68 natural human sights, is divided into five scenic spots, i.e. Hot spring, Pangu, Qin River, Chouergou and Baijiangou. Characterized by natural sceneries, macaques and hot springs, it is the macaque preservation area of national level with 12 groups of over 3,000 macaques.

A well known hydraulic engineering was built in Wulongkou in ancient China. It is one of the four famous hydraulic engineering in ancient China which is valuable in scientific study and as cultural relic. The project was expanded from the Han till Yuan Dynasty. During the Ming Dynasty, five canals, like five dragons, were excavated at Qinkou, forming the image of five dragons separating water. Wulongkou, literally the mouth of five dragons, is named after the project, which is the cultural relic of provincial level.

Qin River cuts through the mountains at Wulongkou with steep cliffs at two sides. Here visitors can enjoy the tranquil valley and clean river with beautiful sceneries. In Eastern Han Dynasty, the Ming emperor built a garden here, named Qin Garden which is well known for its beauty and special flavor.

Since the Sui, Tang, Song and Jin, Liao Dynasties, many government officials and celebrities came here for a visit. With green mountains reflected in clean waters and summer as cool as in autumn, Wulongkou has been acclaimed as one of the nine sights in Jiyuan.

Qin River has wide beach with fine sand. Visitors can take a shower, swimming, boating in the river, riding a horse or having a sun bath on the beach.

Mountain Wohuling has steep cliffs with white clouds coiling around. On the mountain are fancy life-like rocks with beautiful sceneries. Looking up, visitors can enjoy the fancy peaks and rocks. Looking down, they can have a bird view of Qin River.
