Jingzhou Museum is situated at the bank of the west lake in Jingzhou District, Jingzhou City.
First constructed in 1958, it consists of the ancient Kaiyuan Taoist Temple, the newly built exhibition building, treasure hall and office building, and covers an area of 30,000 square meters. The most characteristic exhibits are jade articles and earthen animals representative of Old Shijiahe Culture, wooden lacquer wares and silk products of Chu State and Han State, which are quite famous both at home and abroad.
