Gegentala Grassland is situated in the territory of Siziwang Banner, it is 130 kilometers from Hohhot. It is one of the first batches of 4A-class scenic spots ofthe country.
    Gegentala Grassland belongs to typical grassland scenery. Gentle landforms and vast landscapes are its unique features. There are many local cultural activities, e.g. cavalry reception, participating in the three-skill contest, Mongolian lifestyle experience, entertainment activity, viewing Mongolian customs and performances and the world nomad cultural park.
    There are three Mongolian tents, and three restaurants, 30 modern accommodation Mongolian tents and 140 traditional accommodation Mongolian tents used for receptions, with a capacity to hold about 2,000-3,000 persons. Facilities such as a sauna, dancing hall, bar, shopping, Entertainment Square, WC and services including TV, telephone, medical care, consultation and security are offered. Tourists may have a chance to taste roast lamb, roast gigot, mutton eaten with the hands, a traditional whole sheep feast and enjoy genuine craftworks.
    On every May 13 of the lunar calendar, the herdsmen hold the traditional heaps of stones worshipping here and every July 25-31 hold a grassland nadamu.
    Tourists can roam about the grassland, watch horse racing, camel racing, and wrestling. In addition, you can ride on horse and camel, and enjoy archery, etc.
