The Daohe House with its quiet and picturesque surroundings was used by the owner times past for parties and small feasts. Today it is for the display of wood block prints. The Music Room, the Daohe House and the Small Hill and Osmanthus Fragrans Pavilion constitute middle distance of the confined southern part of the garden. Techniques of emancipation suppression and contrasty light with shade are remarkably employed to make the central part of the garden appear more impressive than it is when seen alone.
