Penglai Pavilion is located at Mountain Danya, north of Penglai City, reputed as “Fairyland”.
    Penglai Pavilion, one of the 4 greatest ancient towers of china, was started in the 16th year of Ziayou in the Song Dynasty. In 1982, it was made the unit for protecting.
    It is said that Emperor Hanwu went to Shandong Peninsula many times to seek “Penglai fairyland”. Its main architectures are arranged elegantly, and include Lvzu Hall, Sanqing Hall, Penglai Pavilion, Tianhou Palace, Longwang Palace, Mituo Temple, Guanlan Pavilion and Binri Tower.
    Department of Management of Penglai Pavilion was given the name of model unit of “supplementing art with art” by the state bureau of cultural relic in 1998. In may 1999, it was awarded the National May 1st certificate of merit and in september, it earned the name as the model unit of construction of intellectual Civilijation by state committee of civilijation and was assessed as the 1st 4A resort zone of China.
