| | Huayan Summit [edit this] | | The Huayan Summit is an independent peak of Mountain Emei. It is known as an odd, sheer and beautiful summit. It looks like a tower in the distance, which stands on this mountainside. In the Qing Dynasty, people built Huayan Temple here, which is dedicated to Sakyamuni and the Goddess of Mercy in jade. Standing on the summit, visitors can overlook the Golden Summit, Nine Sages' Cave, Wannian Temple, and even the city of Emei on fine days, therefore, Huayan Summit is also called the Small Golden Summit. | Edit by: Dorothy | |
| Huazang Temple [edit this] | | The Golden summit, 3,077 meters above sea level, is the second highest peak of Mountain Emei. The golden palace on the golden summit is actually a bronze palace constructed in the Ming Dynasty. The Golden summit is well known due to the golden palace, which, under the sunshine, looks resplendent and magnificent. In the temple, there are 3 halls: the Laughing Buddha hall, the Great Hero hall and the hall of Universal Benevolence god. In the middle of the last hall hangs a tablet with the characters “Golden Summit”, which is the handwriting of Liu Gongquan, a very famous calligrapher of the Tang Dynasty. Outside the hall stand four tablets all that are inscribed by the modern famous figures in Buddhist circles. Every October, it is covered in snow, which does not thaw completely until the next March. In winter, ice and icicles decorate the firs, narrow bamboo trees and rocks. All get the pure white coats. The beautiful snow scenery brings much pleasure for all going there. What's more, tourists at the golden summit can enjoy the 4 famous scenes like the sunrise, the sea of clouds, the Buddhist Divine and the Saints lights.

| Holy-Water Pavilion [edit this] | | The Holy-Water Pavilion is also named Divine-Water Pavilion. There is a pool located here and its water is known as “Holy Water” or “Jade Water”, hence its name. It is said that the water works for various kinds of diseases. It attracted many wishing to be healed. In the pavilion, tourists can find four halls, which are Hall of Goddess of Mercy, Hall of Laughing Buddha, Hall of Great Hero and Hall of God of Universal Benevolence. A stone pagoda with 6 stories stands in front of the pavilion, and it is said that the pagoda was especially built for Buddhist Master, Zhi Zhe during Sui Dynasty. | Edit by: Dorothy | |
| Elephant Bathing Pool [edit this] | | The Elephant Bathing Pool, named Chuxi Pavilion originally, was expanded into a Buddhist temple in the Qing Dynasty. It is commonly known that the god of Universal Benevolence gives a bath to his white elephant in the hexagon pool of the temple whenever he passes by. Thus, it is called Elephant Bathing Pool. The temple is 2,070 meters above the sea level with clouds and ancient trees around it.
