| | [edit this] | | Wuxi is the north gate of Mountain Jiuhua. Longxi, Piaoxi, Shuxi, Caoxi, Lianxi and five streams meet at the mouth of Liuquan. After crossing the 318 National highway, the water pour northward into the Yangtze River. Standing on the Wuxi Bridge, overlooking Mountain Jiuhua, one will see delicate peaks upon each other in flying clouds. Watching the green water and streams at their foot, plus their reflection in the green water. The scenery is so unmatched that no one will not be taken aback by the excellent view. When Emperor Yuanwen was passing here, he was shocked by the beaulty and wrote a poem: “Seen the picture of Jiuhua, I doubted it was in Jiangnan? Today enjoyed on the bridge. I know it's beyond the picture.” | Edit by: ch | |
