On the high-to-sky Mokong Peak, there stands a nunnery, first named “Zhaixing Nunnery”. During Wanli period, Ming dynasty, Haiyu monk built a cootage there and cultibated himself, he lived to 110 years old, his body stayed fresh for three years after he died, which was attired with gold and enshrined in the nunnery. In 1630, the 3rd year of Congzhen Period in the Ming Dynasty, he was granted “Yingshen Boddhisattva”, the tower was granted “Lotus Baozang”, the board was inscribed “kindess is the most happiness”, in the same year, the nunnery was converted into a temple, granted “Baisui palace”. After being extended, it was renamed “Wannian Temple”, Baisui Palace is five-stored standing highly on the edge of of a precipice, which is both magnificient and grand. The inner palace is pleasanly asymmetrical, secluded and quiet. The golden inscribed board which reads:“Granted Baisui Palace, protecting temple”, was written by president of Baiyang Government, Li Yuanhong. Standing here, tourists can enjoy the superb panorama of Jiuhua Street.
