Weixian Thrum

    The traditional opera Weixian luantan having gone round three hundred years formed in the Kangxi region of the Qing Dynasty. This old opera has become a part of all local people's living. In those years many villages had their own troupes, and the old actors organized the people to perform luantan, teach the prentices and debate the techniques, so this opera got abundant development in the villages. Luantan is popular in the villages, but it isn't a small opera expressing the living of the villages. It had been performed all over the country before tbe Beijing opera forming. Its tones are abundant. It mainly expresses the historical characters, the heroes' stories and the old legend.
