Gudong Waterfall

    Located in the south of Daxu Ancient Town, Lingchuan county, it is 26km from Guilin and 8km from the tourism road from Guilin to Crown Cave.
    The scenery area is a waterfall group collecting underground spring with the characteristics of multi-level and interconnection. Besides it is a waterfall which scenes are changed with the rock becoming taller and taller due to the effect of calcium carbonate deposition. The waterfall is 180km higher than the Lijiang River water level. This waterfall has different shapes when it falls down. Some like “Mandarin duck playing water”, some like “Dragon spraying water”, some fall down like a piece of cloth on lichen cliff, some like hazy mizzle when they fall down into the deep pond with piled of spindrift.
    On the foot of hill are the dense tropic forest, wind blowing and grass swinging, birds singing and flower fragrance. In late autumn, the whole hill of red maple makes you feel what the maturity is.
