The Standing-in-Snow Hall was a place where the Buddhist Abbot used to preach Buddhist Sermons. The story goes that one snowy night Hui Ke traveled all the way to meet Bodhidharma. The snow became heavier and heavier. But it did not prevent him from going. At daybreak when he saw Hui Ke standing in the Knee-high snow, Bodhidharma was moved by his earnestness and accepted him as his disciple. |
